Forecasting Overview

What is the purpose of forecasting?

The purpose of forecasting is determine the courses that students are interested in taking and determine the number of sections of a course that we need to run in the schedule. It is really important that students take this process seriously and select classes that you can see themselves taking.

Forecasting Deadline:

  • All forecasting must be completed by March 21st.

Beginning of the year timelines

Note: All 9th-11th grade students must have a full schedule (8 classes) Seniors can have a free period.

Priority for class changes: We will prioritize schedule changes for students that have the following needs:

  1. a hole in their schedule.

  2. are in the wrong level of a course.

  3. are missing something they need for graduation.

Last day to add a class: Two weeks after the first day of classes

Last day to drop a class without penalty: Four weeks after the first day of classes
